And the Wackest Kickstarter Game of the Day Goes to…”Ron Paul: Road to REVOlution.” UPDATE: Totally Funded

It’s like the old EGM and GamePro April Fools jokes can now all be real because, you know, the internet.

Developer Daniel Williams from Texas (duh) is setting out to create a “sidescrolling platformer action/adventure game, reminiscent of console classics like Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog.” I’m guessing it’s going to be on par with any mid-90s shareware PC platformer – which is not a bad thing; I’m thinking about using Jazz Jackrabbit and Jill of the Jungle on future Game Clubs.

What irks me is obviously the subject matter:

Collect Delegates to ensure your seat as the President, collect Gold Coins to unlock branches of the Federal Reserve where you defeat bosses and progress your quest to end the Federal Reserve.

Um. Ok. I continue to be confused by how many young men take up the Ron Paul cause, but it’s harmless enough for now. Here’s Daniel’s video, and a link to support him.

UPDATE, y’all. This guy blew past his $5k goal and is just raking in the dough. Look for my Kickstarter project later this month called “Dude, You’re Leaking Santorum all Over Newt’s MOONBASE.”
